The project involved relocation of a waterfront home in response to rapid coastal erosion. The house, located north of Ballston Beach in the town of Truro, was perched high up on an eroding coastal bluff and was moved to a safer location landward and downhill from its previous location.
The project involved construction of a new foundation and new driveways for the subject and abutting properties on the environmentally sensitive landform. The regulatory review for the house move included acquiring permits from local, state and federal agencies.
