Our firm was established by Thomas “Will” Joy to address the growing engineering needs of local community a year after Massachusetts enacted its first state-wide building code in 1975. In 1983, we merged with Nickerson & Berger, creating a full-service engineering and land surveying firm. In 2004, a group of long-time employees took the reins over, continuing Thomas Joy’s legacy of integrity, strong work ethic, and a high degree of client and community service. In 2024, we were acquired by Tighe & Bond, a Northeast leader in engineering, design, and environmental consulting.
