Coastal Engineering Co. worked with Nantucket Land Bank to provide engineering design and construction documents for a new 140-foot public timber pier which meets ADA and Massachusetts Architectural Access Board design standards. Coastal also assisted the with construction bid administration with qualified marine contractors and provided timber material grading and testing services. The result is a beautiful pier with unparalleled panoramic views of the pond positioned to study the abundant wildlife while also facilitating access for kayaking, paddleboarding, and other recreational activities.
