Surveying and Staking a 50-Acre Parcel for Construction of a New School Offering Greater Opportunities in Academics, Arts and Athletics
Coastal Engineering Co. worked with Mount Vernon Group Architects to provide land surveying services for the construction of a new Monomoy Regional High School for the towns of Harwich and Chatham, funded in collaboration with Massachusetts School Building Authority. This facility benefits the entire Monomoy community as an educationally-appropriate, cost-effective facility offering greater opportunities in academics, arts and athletics, including increased Advanced Placement and foreign language course; hands-on learning in engineering, culinary arts, marine science; expanded visual and performing arts facilities and programs, and 24 varsity and junior varsity MIAA-sanctioned athletic teams.
Due to the funding schedules, we were given 21 calendar days to perform the field survey and prepare and deliver the existing conditions site plans of the school’s 50-acre property to the architect. The filed survey was performed in February 2012, and the plans were completed and delivered on schedule.
