The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has been serving the local community since 1855. When the bank wanted to expand its presence in the Town of Dennis, they purchased and redeveloped a site just off Exit 9 on the Mid-Cape Highway with a new 11,400 sf banking facility. The building includes two drive-up tellers and a drive-up ATM, new banking lobby with six teller stations, private offices for personal banking departments, and conference/training rooms.
The design and construction of the facility required close attention to site planning and design layout to accommodate the Town of Dennis site planning design requirements. Structurally, steel framing system supports second floor offices, allowing larger open spaces in the lobby and banking areas without compromising the building’s traditional architecture.
Sustainable and green building features include high efficiency lighting control systems; low emitting/low VOC materials, paints and adhesives; "green guard" certified carpeting throughout; high efficiency boilers and HVAC systems; high performance windows; and full recharge of site drainage.
