To maintain an efficient boating facility, this popular landmark marina and private yacht club faced extensive renovations. An existing pier and solid fill bulkhead needed to be completely replaced, requiring excavation of the solid fill. New steel sheeting driven in front of the old bulkhead and an anchoring system to keep the sheeting plumb and in place was installed. Most recent part of the project performed was replacement of wave attenuator, which required structural analysis and design of anchor piling, as well as coordination with the wave attenuator supplier. Now, after completely rebuilding and widening the timber pile-supported pier, the result is a vastly improved and modernized facility.
