The new rental units development, which will be called Brewster Woods, is an exciting project for the Town of Brewster because it's an opportunity to add affordable housing where there is a great need.
The town of Brewster learned in late October that it was awarded a $1.68 million grant from the MassWorks Infrastructure program to aid in the construction of the Brewster Woods affordable housing development off Brewster Road.
The project, under the guidance of the Brewster Housing Authority, will add 30 affordable rental units to the town. Brewster Woods has received a comprehensive permit from the Brewster Zoning Board of Appeals and will be built by Preservation of Affordable Housing, a national nonprofit based in Boston, on 5.9 acres near Well's Court Apartments.
Coastal Engineering is proud to be the site engineer for the project.
