Coastal Engineering's Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum Bradford Street Access Project has been recognized by The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts on June 29, 2022
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) is the business association of the Massachusetts engineering industry, representing over 120 independent engineering, A/E and land surveying companies engaged in the development of transportation, environmental, industrial, and other infrastructure. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Boston, MA, ACEC/MA is a member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) based in Washington, DC. ACEC is a national federation of 52 state and regional organizations. The ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence Awards Competition Recognizes Engineering Achievements that Demonstrate the Highest Degree of Merit and Ingenuity.
Engineered to create a prominent gateway to the grounds of the historic Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum site, the Bradford Street Access project provides barrier free access and a direct connection between the town center and the monument grounds for all to enjoy. The center piece of the project is a state of the art “inclined elevator” that was custom built for the site and designed to carry passengers from street level to the top of the hill, where visitors can enjoy sweeping views of Provincetown Harbor while visiting the historic site and its impressive 252 ft tall monument.
Coastal Engineering is proud to be recognized for its contribution for the engineering design of the Bradford Street Access Project. We would like to express our appreciation to The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts, Cape Cod Pilgrim Memorial Association of Provincetown, and the entire design and construction team for their support on the project.
