Examine the sand closely and all you will find is seashells and other marine life! That's because our volunteer team participated in a bi-annual Glendon Beach clean-up last Friday. Although we are happy to report that the beach appeared to be in a good shape, we'd like to remind that common items like six-pack rings or fishing line entangle sea birds, fish and mammals, who can also mistake plastic for food and die of starvation or poisoning. Everyone can make a difference in protecting the environment! All you need to do is contact your town administration to see if similar programs are available in your community.
