Coastal Engineering Co. participated in Cape-wide event to introduce and engage high school students to the various careers in the residential construction field.
Residential construction industry is one of the primary economic drivers on the Cape, and creator of good paying year-round jobs. Last Thursday, Oct. 19, Coastal Engineering Co. participated in a 3rd Annual Residential Construction Career Day, a free event for high school juniors and seniors designed by Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod to help students explore the different careers in the residential construction field and motivate them to live and work here on the Cape.
Our Project Engineer Cole Bateman, a member of HBRACC Emerging Leaders Group dedicated to supporting innovation, membership and youth outreach, was available to answer questions and provide demonstrations and activities to inform and inspire students, together with our Project Manager John Schnaible, RS. In our booth, students had a chance to learn about internships and various employment opportunities at Coastal Engineering Co. With attendance of about five hundred people, it was a great success!
