Our design team is excited to move forward with final design and construction documents after Provincetown Planning Board approval clears way for construction of a funicular to the Pilgrim Monument.
According to a recent Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum (PMPM) press release, the funicular project is poised to get off the ground after receiving final regulatory approval on December 13, 2018. The Planning Board unanimously approved the project, clearing the way for work to start on the final design and construction of the inclined elevator that will carry people from Bradford Street up High Pole Hill to the monument.
"We are honored have contributed to the regulatory success of this project and are excited to move forward with final design and construction documents. By making the beloved landmark that the Pilgrim Monument is more accessible, the funicular will be a great asset to the Town", said Coastal Engineering Project Manager Jay Norton.
