Register Now for 2020 MALSCE Convention - March 13 and 14, 2020

The 2020 MALSCE Convention is presented by the Cape Cod Chapter. Sean Riley, Coastal Engineering Co. Vice President, will speak on Flood Resistant Design & Construction – 9th vs. 10th Edition Building Code.

The presentation will include a brief overview of the different Flood Zones and their Boundaries and the introduction of the Limit of Moderate Wave Action (LIMWA) Boundary. The 10th Edition of the Building Code, which is anticipated to be adopted in 2020-2021, is expected to include new regulations regarding construction requirements for buildings sited within the LIMWA. Sean will review the current 9th Edition Building Code Regulations with regards to Flood Resilient Design and the proposed 10th Edition revisions.
